Hi everyone, I'm really excited to share that my coin design has been selected from 10,000 submissions as one of 25 finalists in the Royal Canadian Mint 'My Inspiration Coin design contest'! This means, if it wins, it could end up in your purse or pocket change in 2017! |

| "My image depicts the magnificent, rugged Canadian shield. Windblown trees rooted on a rocky shore, and a lone canoe. The elements beat against the trees but the trees stand firm. The wind invisible yet we see its effect: the trees bend, but do not break. These pines symbolize our Canadian culture: strength, tenacity, flexibility. The canoe represents our past: trade, transportation, exploration, and our present: a beloved means of discovery." |
